Washing Tips

Washing clothes... and how to get white laundry white again

It's actually quite easy to wash clothes, isn't it? Not entirely, because every material has different properties and needs. We have the best tips for you and show you how to get white laundry white again.

Proper laundry care is no secret

Before you wash your clothes, you should take a look at the sewn-in care instructions. The labels contain all important information and prevent mistakes that could lead to shrinkage, distortion or discolouration of the laundry. In addition, when washing clothes, you should close all zippers beforehand and knot any decorative or tie straps. Delicate textiles such as fine nightgowns or even swimsuits and bikinis are protected from the stresses of spinning in a special laundry bag. It is also best to turn the items inside out. This way, the colors last longer and embellishments such as rhinestones and pearls have a longer lifespan. If you want to wash heavily soiled clothes, it can be helpful to pre-treat particularly stubborn stains. Washing cotton clothes is particularly easy. For example, you can easily put cotton nightgowns and pajamas in the washing machine and wash them at 30 or 40 degrees (observe care label!). Rösch swimwear, which often consists of Lycra, should either be washed by hand or at a maximum of 30 degrees on a delicate cycle.

Wash clothes and let them dry quickly

Once the clothes are clean again, you should let them dry quickly. But beware: not every item can go into the tumble dryer! Always check the care label to see if the dryer symbol is crossed out. If the dryer is taboo, the question naturally arises of how you can dry your laundry quickly. All you need is a clothesline and fresh air. If the weather does not allow outdoor drying, you can dry your laundry quickly by hanging it in a heated or ventilated room. Not using an electric tumble dryer not only saves a lot of energy, but also protects our environment. By the way: Did you know that you can also dry laundry quickly in winter? Just try it outside on a frosty, dry day!

The best tricks to get white laundry white again

It's very annoying when your snow-white favorite item eventually gets an ugly gray tinge. But don't worry: you only need a few "ingredients" to get white laundry white again. The simplest solution is sunlight. Simply let the yellowed textiles dry in the direct sun. In many cases, they will then be sparkling white again. If you add some baking powder or baking soda to the washing powder when you wash your clothes, the chances of getting white laundry white again are also good. Another proven home remedy is diluted vinegar essence.

It's not hard to wash and care for clothes!

You just shouldn't treat all your textiles the same, but should individually address their respective care needs. You can dry your laundry quickly in the tumble dryer or in the fresh air. And with sunlight or some home remedies, it's usually no problem to get white laundry white again! So feel free to choose your favorite nightwear and swimwear from Rösch!
